California Bail information:

Fullerton Bail Bonds

Fullerton’s full time resident population is about 138,000 people but it swells daily to accommodate the students enrolled in California State University Fullerton and six other institutions of higher learning.  Like all the cities Orange County, it still breathes cars, exhaling a percentage of commuters going to jobs or homes elsewhere, and inhaling all the people who work there.  Fortunately at least 3000 a day travel through the Metrolink commuter rail in the Fullerton Transportation Center.  That inflow and outflow of people create large traffic issues for the drivers and stimulates the success of social businesses for the people who don’t want to drive through the heart of the city through peak traffic.  That means that gyms, athletic clubs, coffee houses, WIFI lounges, theater complexes, restaurants and bars do well too, as all thrive on a strong student population.

The modern Fullerton Police department has a staff of 210, 143 sworn police officers and 67 civilian employees.  They maintain a 16-bed level-1 detention facility and offer a pay-to-stay program for inmates serving sentences in Orange County.  The pay-to-stay program is designed for qualified inmates who are sentenced for a term and can afford to pay a non-refundable application fee and over $100 per night for accommodations.  Pay-to-stay is an offering in several Orange County cities, providing an alternative to serving sentenced time in a county facility that is often overcrowded and contains a mix of different types of convicted offenders together.  That leaves 14 beds available for FPD street arrests for charges of disorderly conduct, aggravated assault, DUI/DWI, drug possession, vandalism, etc.   Mr. Nice Guy has dealt with all these types of problems throughout Orange County.

How does the bail bond process work in Fullerton?

The Fullerton Police Department employs the most recent technologies for law enforcement such as the body worn camera (BWC) for patrol officers and the Automated License Plate Recognition system (ALPR).  These tools have express rules of use, and are maintained to operate under the rules dictated by their department policies[1].   The Fullerton PD officers are trained in a range of current technologies and law enforcement practices for maintenance of peace and order. The BWC has proven a means of confirming and evaluating performance in the field, and ALPR has specific rules for searching database information and using the data collected in accordance with law enforcement practice.  Trained Fullerton Police officers can verify ALPR response against a statewide database of vehicles reported stolen, vehicles associated with suspended license drivers, vehicles without insurance, and outstanding vehicle traffic warrants.  The vehicle mounted ALPR system has the top capacity to scan 50 vehicle plates per minute, but is restricted to traffic and road conditions in line with camera scanners when in motion.  Both these advances exist to support law enforcement with either evidence of an offense or may provide probable cause that leads to an arrest.
