No Credit Check Bail Bonds

Posted on Jan 5th, 2022 by developer 1191 Views

If you know that you need to post bail, but you can’t because you have bad credit then this is nothing for you to be concerned about. Most of the time you don’t actually need to have a credit check done in order to post bail, the only thing that you do need is someone who can co-sign for you. You need to make sure that they have a job, or that they are a homeowner who can cover the full premium. This is usually around 10% but it’s a one-time fee.

Understanding Bail

Bail usually involves paying something. Usually, it is money, and it ensures that there is some capital at stake if the defendant does not appear in court when they are supposed to. If the defendant does not appear in court for the hearing, then the bail can be kept by the court and a warrant can be issued for arrest. If you have been arrested and you cannot pay the fee set by the judge, then a family member can take care of this for you. If you have a family member pay your bail for you and you don’t show up, then the chosen family member will lose any money that they have paid.

What Types of Bail Are There?

There are actually different types of bail that a judge might set for someone in jail. The different types include:

Money Payments

There will be a set dollar amount that a friend or the defendant will have to pay so that the release can go ahead. The money required can vary depending on the crime that the person in question is being charged with, so it is important to keep this in mind.

Signature Bonds

Another type of bond would be the signature bond. This lets someone who has been arrested, get out of jail. No money will be required for this kind of bond. If this type of bond is allowed by a judge, then it is entirely possible for the defendant to get out without paying anything. They just have to state that they will appear at any court dates and hearings.

Property Bond

This type of bond allows someone who is in jail to use a property deed, which is owned by them or their family member. This will be issued as security. This ensures that the person is going to go back to their later hearings. It means that as opposed to a signature or even money for collateral, the security will be the property. If this type of bond is offered by the judge you have been appointed, then you will only have the ability to pay on the behalf of someone else if you are the owner of a property. Again, you need to remember that if you do own a property with a bad credit history, no credit check will be done prior to making this agreement.

Find Help When Paying

Bonds can be expensive, and if you have a bad credit history, or if you have little money then you may not be able to afford to pay the fee set. There are ways however, that you can make bail because you don’t have to put up the entire amount personally. Bail bonds are let someone only pay a small portion of the amount as opposed to paying the entire thing. If you need some help or if you need to support a friend or family member then we can help. Gathering the Right Information

In most cases, the bail of the defendant will be set at a particular amount. If you need help posting the amount for your bond, or if the bond is set at a high amount, then usually you can go through a service, like ours to get the help you need. Most cases do not require any kind of credit check, as stated above and most of the time you just need to make sure that you have a co-signer who has a job or a property. They will then need to pay the full bail premium. This is usually around 10% but you only need to pay it once.

If you are having someone co-sign for you, then you need to remember that they will be responsible for any amount owed. If you do get them to pay, and you do not show up in court then the payment will be taken from your chosen family member. On top of this, there is also a chance that a warrant will be put out for your arrest. The bail bond company that you decide to go through, will take a percentage of the bond as a fee for guaranteeing it. When this is paid, the defendant can then be released from jail. If you have co-signed for someone then you will be responsible for making sure that the defendant appears at every court date while also making sure that they meet any bond requirements. It is sometimes possible for the co-signer to stipulate certain requirements before co-signing. If at any point, the co-signer becomes uneasy or uncomfortable with the actions of the defendant then it is entirely possible for them to ask the bail bond company to cancel the bond. If this happens then the defendant will be returned to jail. If the defendant refuses to go to jail or if they flee, then it is possible for the co-signer to contact the bail bond company and ask them to arrange for them to be taken to jail.
